Map Material
Map Materials are items used to add targeted affixes to Netherrealm Stages. Map Materials added before a stage starts will be consumed upon entry and converted into Stage Affixes, granting the stage richer drops, new gameplay, and an enhanced combat experience.
Map Materials are items used to add targeted affixes to Netherrealm Stages. Map Materials added before a stage starts will be consumed upon entry and converted into Stage Affixes, granting the stage richer drops, new gameplay, and an enhanced combat experience.
Map Materials are categorized into three types: Compasses, Season Compasses, and Probes. They differ in terms of functions and acquisition methods.
Compass
You can place a maximum of 4 Compass(es) in each Netherrealm stage. Starting from the unlocking of Compass slots at Timemark 7, the maximum number of Compasses that can be placed is gradually unlocked as the Timemark increases.
Compasses usually provide affixes that change the gameplay experience or enhance specific types of item drops, accompanied by a negative effect that increases the Life of all monsters in Netherrealm stages.
Compasses drop everywhere in Netherrealm.
Season Compass
You can place a maximum of 1 Season Compass(es) in each Netherrealm stage.
Season Compasses are exclusive to the current season-exclusive gameplay, providing gameplay variations and increased drops.
Season Compasses are usually dropped from the Season-exclusive Gameplay.
Probe
You can place a maximum of 1 Probe(s) in each Netherrealm stage. Probes can only be used in Profound Timemark 8 and Deep Space.
Probes provide affixes similar to Compasses but with stronger negative effects, making them items intended for late-game players.
Probes are usually dropped from Sandlord gameplay.
