Corrosion
A special crafting that generates an unknown effect.
After the Corrosion feature is unlocked as you progress through the main story, you can Corrode gear at [The Lightless - Zenoth] in the Town.
Corrosion is divided into Darkness Corrosion and Darkest Corrosion.
Each Corrosion grants the Corroded gear one of the following effects:
Mutate: Replaces Base Affixes with random Aember Base Affixes and turns the gear into Corroded gear.
Chaos: Re-rolls the values of all affixes (without changing affix tiers) and turns the gear into Corroded gear.
Arrogant: Upgrades 1 pre-fix/suffix by 1 or 2 tiers and turns the gear into Corroded gear.
Void: Turns the gear into Corroded gear.
The following Corrosion effects could appear if the Corrosion is Darkest Corrosion:
Desecration: Upgrades 2 pre-fixes/suffixes by 1 - 2 tiers and sets the gear to Corroded.
Vorax Corrosion can be performed on Vorax Gear.
Each Corrosion grants the Corroded Vorax Gear one of the following effects:
Hyperplastic: Upgrades 1 random affix by 1-2 tiers and turns the gear into Corroded gear.
Limb-Stitched: Upgrades 2 random affixes by 1-2 tiers and turns the gear into Corroded gear.
Metamorphosized: Upgrades all pre-fixes by 1-2 tiers and turns the gear into Corroded gear.
Derived: Upgrades all suffixes by 1-2 tiers and turns the gear into Corroded gear.
Festered: Turns the Turns the gear into Corroded gear and binds the gear.
Gear can only be Corroded once. If the Corroded gear doesn't gain Chaos, Void, or Fester, it will become bound.
